Casting Supervisor 1st Shift
Associates or Bachelor Degree is preferred but not required. A minimum of 1-3 years of project leader or supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment is required. Previous foundry experience with a good understanding of production operations or similar manufacturing operation is a plus. Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of hourly employees so as to maximize efficiency and lower cost, an in-depth knowledge of the application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, excellent verbal and written communication skills which include the ability to compose complex correspondence and reports, to communicate effectively with hourly and salaried personnel and to maintain harmonious working relationships with employees on all levels, advanced team-building skills, the ability to design and effectively facilitate employee training programs for both hourly and salaried personnel, advanced computer skills that include the ability to perform complex record-keeping and administrative tasks and an in-depth of SAP or other applicable manufacturing programs, advanced knowledge of safety rules, regulations and working procedures and the ability to develop, consult with management on and implement complex working plans and procedures.
The employee will be working primarily in the manufacturing facility and will be exposed to Foundry operations. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.
